Sheriff Shane Jones has released the name of the victim of a fatal structure fire on January 21, 2022 in Pope County as 69-year-old Harold Dean Hull of Dover.

On January 21, 2022, Pope County Sheriff's Deputies responded with rural fire departments to a structure fire in the 1800 block of Pollard Cemetery Road. On initial responders arrival it was determined that there was one fatality associated with the structure fire. Pope County Sheriff's Investigators continue to process the scene, but no foul play is suspected at this time.

Sheriff Jones would like to offer his condolences and prayers to the family and friends of Mr. Hull during this difficult time.
